Prior to founding Magnus Recruitment Services I worked in UK recruitment for 11 years. I have experience in both a specialist agency environment and as an in-house recruiter, and have supported companies like Ernst & Young and KPMG, Barclays, Camelot Group and the Care Quality Commission.

 

In the course of my career I have worked with thousands of candidates and discovered that too often people struggle with presenting their strengths to potential employers, even when they are qualified to perform a role. Unfortunately, CVs are dull and uninspiring, failing to showcase the person's achievements, while in interviews people struggle to show how good they are even when they have the ability to do the job. When I saw this need I took the opportunity to apply my skills and experience in helping people boost their performance and improve their chances in the job market.

 

A member of both the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD), I have been short-listed by the Institute of Recruitment Professionals for 'UK Resource Manager of the Year'.

 

When not positioning candidates in the best way possible I enjoy scuba diving, taking in the beauty of coral reefs and the incredible experience of watching whale sharks and giant turtles in their natural environment.
